EAST LIVERPOOL - Donna J. Householder, our loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 15, 2012. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born in East Liverpool on May 23, 1930, and was the daughter of the late George H. and May (Kirkham) Whaley. She loved life and loved her family even more. She sacrificed throughout her life for her family and was very proud of them. She courageously fought a lengthy battle of illnesses to stay with her family who meant everything to her.
Donna's optimistic outlook on life and sense of humor sustained her to the end. She enjoyed attending church, visiting with friends, going out to eat, sitting on her porch, doing puzzles, crocheting and bragging about her children and precocious grandchildren. One of the greatest joys and miracles of the last two years of her life was her great-grandson, Camden, who lovingly called her Munga.
Donna was a devoted loving and loyal wife and was recently blessed to celebrate 60 years of marriage. She and her husband, Jay own and operate the Shadybrook Mobile Home Park. Some of her talents included playing the clarinet, piano, and vibraharp. She was an active member of her church and enjoyed sharing her talents at different times. Donna encouraged her children to do their very best in life and to follow their dreams. She saw the best in everyone and always had a smile on her face. She was truly a blessing to everyone who knew her.
Donna is survived by her husband, Jay E. Householder Sr. of East Liverpool; two sons, Jay Householder and his wife Joy of Calcutta and Kevin Householder and his wife Melissa of Calcutta; two daughters, Karen Speziale and her husband, John of East Liverpool and Diane Khosravi and her husband Javad of Missouri City, Texas; eight grandchildren, Emily Householder, Sarah Householder, Stephanie Householder and Andrew Householder all of Calcutta; Alan Demo of Tampa, Fla., Matthew Speziale of East Liverpool, Benjamin Khosravi and Christopher Khosravi of Missouri City, Texas; a great-grandson, Camden Householder of Calcutta; and her aunt, Norma Pederzolli and her husband Eugene of Alliance.
Besides her parents, a grandson, Dominic Speziale, preceded her in death.
