LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Monday a May 7 preliminary hearing was set for James F. Rogers, 50, Woodville Road, Leetonia, charged with domestic violence after reportedly assaulting his stepson by hitting him in the face with a glass mug, striking him in the chest area repeatedly and shoving his head against a plastered wall on Saturday.
A May 3 preliminary hearing was set for Larry L. Warner, 51, Camp Boulevard, Hanoverton, charged with three counts of possession of drugs after Salem police reportedly found three pill bottles containing Acetaminophen/Hydrocodone, Alprazolom and Clonazepam in the center console of his vehicle Sunday. None of the drugs were prescribed to Warner. Additionally, Warner has a pretrial set for May 3 for charges of OVI second offense, speeding and possession of marijuana.
James M. Doychak, 27, Old Unity Line Road, Enon Valley, Pa., was fined $1,475, sentenced to 176 days in jail, had his license suspended for 180 days for OVI first offense, no license, stop sign, lighted lights required and hit skip/leave scene amended from failure to comply.
Melissa K. Maines, 45, state Route 344, Salem, was fined $675, had his license suspended for six months, was sentenced to 30 days electronically monitored house arrest and required 65 hours community service for persistent disorderly conduct, obstructing official business, driving under OVI suspension and OVI first offense amended from OVI second offense.
Jordan D. Skelton, 18, Bethesda, was fined $250 and required 50 hours of community service for speeding and failure to reinstate a license, amended from driving under suspension.
Robert F. Petrovich Jr., 39, Girard, was fined $250 and sentenced to 19 days in jail for criminal trespassing after going into a North Cross street home in Columbiana on April 19.
William Seth McMillan, 18, Fairfield School Road, Columbiana, was fined $200 and required 50 hours community service for domestic violence for punching William L. McMillan in the eye on April 22.
Robert J. Planey, 40, Creed Street, Struthers, was fined $150 for speeding.
Todd A. Hawthorne, 29, Northside Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $130 and sentenced to 90 days in jail for driving under suspension and speeding.
Ashley L. Metzgar, 24, Arch Street, Salem, was fined $100 and had her license suspended for six months for possession of marijuana.
Charles R. Courtney III, 27, state Route 45, Salem, was fined $100, sentenced to 82 days in jail for domestic violence after he reportedly threatened to kill Jennifer Hepfner, slapped her in the face and pulled her by the hair on April 22.
Lance I. Newburn, 30, Spiedel Road, Hanoverton, was fined $75 for unsafe vehicle amended from failure to control.
Caitlin E. Ross, 27, West Pine Street, Lisbon, was fined $30 for speeding.
Thomas R. Bricker, 42, Sandstone Lane, Canfield, and Walter L. Newton, 52, state Route 558, Leetonia, were each fined $20 for unsafe vehicle amended from speeding.
A May 10 court trial was set for Nathaniel C. Jones, 30, Spring Street, East Liverpool, cited with a seat belt violation.
A May 24 pretrial was set for David J. Helfer, 32, Pittsburgh, charged with assault for allegedly hitting Molly Gallo in the head numerous times with his fist and a curtain rod on Sunday in Lisbon.
A May 31 pretrial was set for Benjamin J. Jones, 32, Lake Park Boulevard, Alliance,charged with OVI second offense and reckless operation.
A June 4 pretrial and motion hearing was set for John C. Taylor, 41, West Garfield Avenue, Columbiana, cited with driving under OVI suspension.
A June 4 pretrial was set for Thomas R. Welsch, 43, East Fourth Street, Salem, cited with operating without reasonable control.
A June 18 pretrial and motion hearing was set for Chelsee M. Heverly, 21, Walter Avenue, Washingtonville, charged with OVI first offense and failure to control.
