Appreciate the kindness

April 29, 2012
The Review

Dear Editor:

I am writing this because April is Autism Awareness month and also teacher appreciation week.

My grandson, who has Autism, was very lucky to have two very caring and loving teachers aides throughout his school years. They also helped me in so many ways.

They were always there to help him in and out of school. They became a very big part of his life.

Although he is now a junior in high school and not in need of an aide, they still keep in touch with him. They both still come to his birthday, Christmas and other special occasions, and just call to talk. These are two of the most important people in his life. They understand him and are always there to encourage him. They are both like family to both of us.

So I want to say thank you to these two very special people, Maria Lowe and Janie McClelland for making my grandson's school years and his life so much nicer.
