CALCUTTA -The Potters got their revenge.
The East Liverpool baseball team jumped out to a 4-0 lead en route to a 4-1 victory Saturday at Beaver Local. The Beavers defeated the Potters earlier in the season in an extra innings at East Liverpool.
Brian Beverly recorded the win for the Potters. The senior struck out six while not walking a batter. He allowed one run on six hits in seven innings of work on the mound.

Offensively, Jay Lane and Justin Behanna each contributed a single and an RBI, and Jon Weyand delivered a single.
Ryan Smith took the loss for the Beavers. Smith struck out four and walked six. He allowed four runs on seven hits. Offensively, Nick Miller recorded two singles.
"It was a cold day outside, but the Potters had enough to defeat the Potters," East Liverpool head coach Steve Dawson said. "Ryan Smith had another strong outing, but Brian Beverly had the better game. Brian had them off-balance and guessing what he was going to throw next."
