COLUMBIANA?COUNTY-Two Columbiana County ministers are among the speakers scheduled for the Men of Faith's third annual Men's Rally in the Valley set for 9 a.m. May 5 at the Covelli Center in Youngstown.
The theme for this year's rally is Leaving a Legacy.
Pastor Jay Radman of the Lord's Community Church, East Liverpool will speak on the topic, "Impacting Your Community."
The title of Pastor John Ryser's topic is "Overcoming Stuff." Ryser is pastor of the Damascus Friends Church.
Also scheduled to appear is Danny Cahill of NBC's "Biggest Loser." According to the website www.thedannycahill.com: Since going to "The Biggest Loser" ranch, Danny lost 239 pounds, but more importantly, he's learned the importance of living with a healthy mental attitude and physical lifestyle. It's no wonder he's NBC 's season eight winner of The Biggest Loser and was crowned "The Biggest Loser...EVER!!!" He lost an amazing 55.58 percent of his body weight during the show and can now happily say he is "less than half the man he used to be!"
Other scheduled speakers are Pastor Rodney Maiden of Providence Baptist Church, one of the largest churches in Cleveland. His topic is My Eternal Legacy.
Clevelander Nick "The Greek" Pirovolos of Inside Out Ministries, and author of the book "Too Mean to Die," will share his story including a 99 year prison sentence and will speak on the topic "Footprints."
"Working Together," is the title of the message planned by Everett Whiteside of Higher Praise Covenant Church in Warren.
Music will be provided by the praise bands of Greenford Christian Church, Victory Christian Center in Coitsville, and Grace Chapel in Hermitage, Pa.
Cost for the event is $15. Entry is by wristbands available online at www.mensrally.org, at Hardcastle Realty (contact Marty Yeany) in East Liverpool; Farmer's National Bank, Leetonia; Shopper's Choice in Washingtonville; at Lion and Lamb and Second Blessing in Salem, and at many area churches.
Wristbands will be available at the door, however, anyone wanting lunch provided by the Covelli Center must purchase wristbands by April 25. There will be a one hour lunch break so participants may also have the option of purchasing lunch at local restaurants.
