Thanks & Spanks for April 13

April 13, 2012
The Review

Spanks, writes a reader, to some organizations for always touting they have a 501(c)3 - like that means they have more integrity or ethics than others.

Spanks, writes a reader, to a local department store for doing inventory during the busy Easter holiday week. But Thanks to Chris and another employee for helping me and many other customers that day.

Spanks, writes a reader, to the derogatory and negative people who constantly bash anything Beaver Local.

The Wellsville Touchdown Club would like to send a Thanks to those who helped support our recent tag day.

Spanks, writes a reader, to an area doctor's office for their rude employees.

Thanks, writes a reader, to the employees of East Liverpool City Hospital, specifically the ER and 5th floor. You all did an excellent job with my grandfather in his final days.

Spanks, writes a reader, to area contractor who attempted to charge close to $650 to powerwash a front porch.

Spanks, writes a reader, to the parents of children that attended an area Easter egg hunt. They drug their kids through the small square grabbing as many eggs as they could instead of the kids picking them up themselves.

Thanks, writes a reader, to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church from the East Liverpool Lions Club for allowing us to use the kitchen and hall for our recent Amish dinner. We are especially grateful to Gary and Mary Kaye Cunningham, members of the church, for all their help.

Thanks, writes a reader, to the kind man who stopped and gave his gas to me when I ran out on Route 267.

Thanks, writes a reader, to The Orchards at Foxcrest and The Tree House Day Care for the Easter egg hunt.

Spanks, writes a reader, to the reader who criticized the US Postal Service. Considering that they have to put up with misspelled names, no zip codes, and sloppy writing, it's a credit to them that we get any mail at all.

Spanks, writes a reader, to property owners who can't find the time to cut grass and pick up trash so neighborhoods looks nice. Thanks, though, to those who take the time to make their property and town look inviting.

Thanks, writes a reader, for the efforts of the concerned citizens who are cleaning up the litter, not only in East Liverpool, but the surrounding area.
