Three men and a juvenile were taken into custody Sunday morning after an officer on patrol in the East Liverpool Motor Lodge parking lot spotted a vehicle with four occupants. The officer said when one of the occupants rolled down the window to speak with him, he smelled marijuana, although all four denied having any. Inside the vehicle, the officer reported finding a baggy of suspected marijuana, a glass pipe and rolling papers. Charged with possession of marijuana were Justin A. McLaughlin, 20, Zachary J. Hubbard, 19, and Derek T. McCutcheon, 19, for whom addresses were not reported. The 17-year-old boy was released to his father, with charges pending in Juvenile Court.
Officers transported Sean Broadbent, 41, to Midland, Pa., at his request after they responded to a complaint of a man being loud and kicking a door at a Rubicon Street residence. There was reportedly a verbal disagreement.
After being called by East Liverpool City Hospital staff about a man being treated for a cut lip, officers spoke with Quayne Watkins, 37, who refused to give any information. He reportedly was involved in an assault in an East End bar.
Bonnie Kidder, Jennings Avenue, reported someone possibly trying to break into her home, but officers found no one around.
Officers were advised by George Davis that a home he owns on Ravine Street had three windows broken with thrown rocks and one window shot several times with BBs.
Jeffrey A. Schneidmiller, 49, Lang Street, was transported by Tri-County ambulance to East Liverpool City Hospital following a crash Sunday morning on St. Clair Avenue. According to reports, Raymond A. Adkins, 92, St. Clair Avenue, backed his vehicle from a driveway into the path of Schneidmiller's vehicle.
Dorothy A. White, 82, Anderson Boulevard, was southbound on Parkway when her vehicle struck a Jeep driven by Lacey R. Hutchman, 17, Annesley Road, who reportedly backed from Park Boulevard into White's path.
The passenger side and mirror on a parked vehicle owned by Kathy A. McHenry, Princeton Avenue, was damaged Sunday morning by a hit-skip vehicle in the Giant Eagle parking lot.
Emma R. Weyand, 31, McKinnon Avenue, was southbound on West Eighth Street when northbound Ethan G. Smith, 21, Sayre Lane, Chester, W.Va., reportedly turned in front of her, causing a collision. Weyand was taken to East Liverpool City Hospital.
