Michael Andrew "Andy" Russell, 44
WELLSVILLE?-Michael Andrew "Andy" Russell, 44 of Main Street, Wellsville died at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 following a brief illness. He was born in Okinawa, Japan on February 14, 1967 and was a son of the late Rolland F. Russell and Barbara June (Adkins) Russell of East Liverpool.
Andy had many passions and interests, from writing short stories, to ready poetry, traveling and movies. He also loved playing the lottery. He was a 1985 graduate of Wellsville High School and received his BA Degree in Telecommunications from Kent State University. He was a very loving young man who loved helping others less fortunate and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.
Besides his mother, he is survived by two brothers: Rolland F. ?Rick? Russell, Jr and his wife Robin of East Liverpool and David Allen Russell of Wellsville; four sisters: Sonya G. Varish and her husband Mike of Wellsville, Dorothy N. Vorpahl and her husband Richard of Double Oak, TX, Heidi J. Russell and her life partner Bill Pomeroy of East Liverpool and Mary E. Russell of Wellsville; eleven nieces and nephews as well as six great nieces and nephews.
Andy's family would like to thank everyone who helped make his last days comfortable and peaceful. A special thanks to nurse Connie, nurse?s aid Daniel and Valley Hospice.
The family would like to invite Andy?s friends to join with them for a Celebration of Andy?s Life at the Crystal Lounge on Friday, January 27, 2012 from 1:30 to 4:30PM.
