In Columbiana County Municipal Court Monday, a Jan. 26 preliminary hearing was set for Jeremy A. Townsend, Hatcher Road, New Waterford, charged with theft.
New Waterford police allege Townsend, while babysitting children in a Creek Road home on Dec. 26, stole several pieces of jewelry valued at $1,049 and belonging to Jamie Young. He then reportedly pawned some of them in Youngstown on Dec. 29.
A Jan. 31 preliminary hearing was set for Allan W. Murphy III, 19, Beaver Falls, Pa., who is charged with burglary after he was reportedly found inside an East Taggart Street, East Palestine home by residents on Monday attempting to take a HP laptop computer and a Samsung cellphone.
An additional pretrial was set for Murphy, who was additionally charged with underage consumption due to the condition East Palestine police reportedly found him in while walking along East Taggart Street.
Shannon L. Cunning, 35, state Route 154, Rogers, signed a waiver of extradition and bond was set at $250,000 cash/surety. She will be returned to Beaver County, Pa., where she is charged with DUI.
Luke E. Trimnel, 30, state Route 45, Lisbon, was bound over to the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury on a domestic violence charge. He is accused of grabbing his girlfriend by the hair and striking her head off a wall. He also has a previous domestic battery conviction in Hancock County, W.Va.
Timothy R. Boggs, 19, North Pleasant Drive, East Palestine, was sentenced to 360 days in jail and fined $2,000 after pleading guilty to possession of criminal tools and attempted breaking and entering. Court documents state Boggs used a tire iron when he attempted to forcibly pry open the drive through window at Gorby's on North Market Street, East Palestine, on Feb. 27.
Kirk V. Kreiger, 28, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, was fined $400, sentenced to three days in jail, had his license suspended for a year and required 30 hours of community service for driving under OVI suspension, hit skip and resisting arrest.
Chad D. Williams, 31, state Route 45, West Point, was fined $180 and required 30 hours of community service for failure to reinstate a license, stop sign violation and a seat belt violation.
Verner C. Johns, 55, South Vine Street, Columbiana, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct. Charges of resisting arrest, criminal mischief and obstructing official business were dismissed.
Jenna R. Watson, 24, Birch Road, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for speeding.
James R. Galioto, 28, Struthers, was fined $150 for marked lanes.
Douglas M. Brant, 53, Grandview Avenue, East Palestine, was fined $150 for failure to control. A hit skip charge was dismissed.
James C. Bollinger, 21, East Martin Street, East Palestine, was fined $150 for junk vehicle amended from drug abuse.
Brian L. Taff, 43, Alliance, was fined $100 and required 40 hours of community service for driving under FRA suspension.
Andreas M. Hale, 21, Old Irondale Road, Wellsville, was fined $100 for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence after she reportedly throwing another woman to the ground, against a wall and onto a couch where she proceeded to choke her.
Roger L. Carl, 51, Benton Road, Salem, was fined $50 for a stop sign violation.
James L. Freeman, 71, Metz Road, Columbiana, was fined $30 for a stop sign violation.
Mark Grubb, 48, Lynchburg Road, Kensington, was ordered to pay costs only for disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence after the victim, who was subpoened to attend failed to appear.
An improper passing charge against Ernest Blain Yerkey, 68, Canton, was dismissed.
A Feb. 16 pretrial was set for John C. Taylor, 41, West Garfield Road, Columbiana, charged with OVI first offense, resisting arrest and disregard for safety on private property after he reported struck a parked truck and a fence in the parking lot of the Flying Pig in Salem on Friday.
A Feb. 23 pretrial was set for Tadley D. Burt, 36, Fairfield School Road, Columbiana, charged with domestic violence after allegedly shoving his wife's face into a changing table.
A Feb. 23 pretrial was set for Victor W. Lytle Jr., 18, Independence Square, Wellsville, charged with assault for allegedly picking a child up by the neck, slamming him to the floor and shooting him with a paintball gun several times.
A Feb. 23 pretrial was set for Richard A. Faulkner, 18, Hoopes Road, Salem, charged with OVI first offense and failure to control.
A Feb. 28 sentencing hearing was set for Devin J. Waugh, 22, Beloit, who pleaded no contest to hit skip.
