The vehicles collided, and Heck's vehicle continued on, striking a lamp post in Broadway Park. Heck reportedly ran from the scene of the accident. He was later charged with reckless operation, while Thomas was charged with driving under suspension. Thomas and his passengers, Darlene K. Wellington, 54, and Bradley M. Dugman, 14, both of the Seventh Street address, were to seek medical treatment on their own at East Liverpool City Hospital.
