June Boughner O’Hara, 94

VENICE, Fla. - June Boughner O'Hara, 94, a loving wife and mother, died on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at the Emeritus at Summerville in Venice, Fla.

A longtime resident of East Liverpool and Venice, Fla., Mrs. O'Hara was born in Reno, Ohio, July 1, 1915, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Gatz) Boughner. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Paul F. O'Hara Sr.; two brothers, William and Ray; and a sister, Sue Boughner French.

She is survived by her sons, Paul O'Hara and his wife, Carolyn Reynolds O'Hara of Hot Springs, Alaska, and Kenneth O'Hara of East Liverpool, and Venice, Fla.; five grandchildren, Stephen and his wife Cindy, Barbara and her husband Steven, Kevin and his wife Teri, Kenneth, and David and his wife Cheryl, and 11 great-grandchildren, Loral, Caroline, Paul, Jessi, Kati, Bryan, Bradley, Robert, Allison, Jessica, and William. Other survivors include a sister, Hannah Boughner Wilson, a brother, Charles, and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. O'Hara enjoyed boating and gardening. She was noted for her kindness to her family and friends. She was employed for many years at Edwin M. Knowles and W.C. Bunting Co.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes with Rev. Tanta Luckhardt-Hendricks of the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.

The family will be present to receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at the funeral home in Calcutta.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care, Venice, Fla.m or Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, 767 Park Blvd., East Liverpool, Ohio 43920.
