East Liverpool Police Reports for 2-8

February 8, 2010

Officers responded to a complaint Friday at 11:32 p.m. from an individual at Oddfellow Temple Apartments on West Sixth Street. The individual requested Tonya Senkbeil be removed from the building due to numerous complaints from tenants claiming Senkbeil was behaving badly. Officers responding to the report advised Senkbeil to leave the building and not return or else she would face trespass charges.

An officer responded to an alarm drop on St. Clair Avenue Friday at 12:46 p.m. The officer was dispatched to the scene after a postal employee called the department stating an alarm was going off at the residence. Upon arriving, the officer determined the alarm was for carbon monoxide detection and the fire department was then notified. The resident was not home at the time.

The East Liverpool City Hospital reported a fight in the Emergency Room Friday at 2:44 a.m. Officers responding to the report were advised by hospital security that an ambulance brought in an individual who was involved in a fight at a bar in West Virginia and the friends of the individual were gathering in the ER. The other individual involved in bar fight was also at the hospital for treatment and security was concerned that another fight would take place between the two individuals. Officers responding to the report advised all individuals to behave themselves at the ER or they would be removed.

Suspicious activity was reported on St. George Street Friday at 1:45 a.m. A blue/gray Cavalier was reported near a garage at the corner of Beleek and Rail Road. An officer responding to the report located two individuals who stated they were waiting to give a female friend a ride home. Both were checked for active warrants with negative results.

Jason Barnes, 36, was arrested Friday at 12:11 a.m. for warrant service.

An officer responded to an alarm drop Friday at 1:02 a.m. at AVI Food Distribution on Webber Street. The area appeared to be secure, the officer reported.

A single vehicle accident took place on state Route 11 North Sunday at 4:08 p.m. A man only listed as "Mr. Mason" reportedly lost control of his vehicle while attempting to avoid a vehicle already in a snow bank but partially on the road. A tow truck was sent to pull Mason's vehicle and the other vehicle out of the area. No damage was reported for either vehicle.

And officer responded to Dawson Funeral Home Sunday at 3:25 p.m. in reference to a family dispute. Upon police arrival those involved in the dispute had already left the area.

A disabled vehicle was reported on Alpha Street Sunday at 12:59 p.m.

Public assistance was requested on Pennsylvania Avenue Sunday at 11:52 p.m. after an individual reported a man was freezing in his trailer and that a tree had fallen on it. An officer responding to the report located three trailers without electric, but that individuals within them were Grand Ford employees and had the opportunity to go inside the Grand Ford building if they wanted to.

An officer responded to an alarm drop at James Locke Jewelers Saturday at 8:54 a.m. All was found to be secure.

Public assistance was requested on Trentvale Street Saturday at 9:40 a.m. after an officer discovered a family, including a six month old baby, had no electric or heat at the residence. The family was transported to the Oddfellows building.

A welfare check was requested Saturday at 11:02 p.m. for a Rural Lane resident who was reportedly threatening suicide. An officer responding to the report located the resident who stated he was cooking dinner and was not doing anything to harm himself.

A noise complaint was reported on North Shadylane Drive Saturday at 2:34 a.m. An officer responding to the report located the resident and advised her to keep the noise down at her apartment.

A welfare check was conducted on a Lincoln Avenue resident Saturday at 11:08 a.m. An officer conducting the check spoke with the resident, who stated she was fine but that her phone was not working.

A Grant Street resident reported Sunday at 1:33 p.m. that an unknown male had reportedly entered the rear her friend's home. An officer responding to the report was unable to locate the male.

A domestic dispute was reported at an Ohio Avenue residence Sunday at 12:22 p.m. The residents were reportedly arguing over discipline of a child. An officer responding to the report was advised by the residents that they were currently in counseling regarding the matter, and the officer advised the residents to resolve the matter there.

A McKinnon Avenue resident requested his son be removed from the residence Sunday at 12:25 p.m. The son reportedly fled the residence before police arrived.
