An East Liverpool woman with an extensive criminal record was sentenced to prison for robbing an East Liverpool man last year.
Amanda L. Bragg, 30, of Baum Street, was sentenced to two years in prison for robbery during action this week before Columbiana County Common Pleas Court Judge David Tobin.
Bragg and an accomplice followed David Teller to the post office in East Liverpool last April and then stopped him and stole his wallet. She had prior convictions for theft, receiving stolen property (2), forgery (2), and drug paraphernalia.
In other court action, Nathaniel C. Hodge, South Elm Street, Columbiana, is scheduled to be sentenced on March 25 after pleading guilty as charged to cocaine possession, possession of crack cocaine and heroin possession. The offenses occurred in Lisbon on March 11, 2008. Charges of fleeing from police and being a convicted felon while possessing a handgun was dropped as part of a plea deal reached with the prosecutor's office.
Joseph L. Hampson, 72, East Pidgeon Road, Salem, is scheduled to be sentenced on May 13 after pleading guilty as charged to two counts of passing bad checks. He wrote two bad checks totaling $32,870 to C&K Petroleum Products on the account of Papa's One Stop in Hanoverton. The offenses occurred on April 14 and 28, 2009.
Stephen E. Hogan, 40, of Youngstown, was sentenced by Judge Tobin to 10 months in prison for breaking and entering, with mandatory credit granted for 65 days already spent in the county jail. Hogan and an accomplice backed a pickup truck into the Vittle Village in Unity Township last September and stole several cartons of cigarettes.
Kimberly D. Jenkins, 30, Lexington Avenue, Salem, was found to have violated her probation on a breaking and entering charge and was sentenced by Judge Tobin to 60 days in the county jail.
Scott A. Barnhart, 46, Broadway Avenue, Wellsville, is scheduled to be sentenced on March 25 after pleading guilty to manufacturing illegal drugs. Barnhart was accused of operating a meth lab at a home on Mill Street, Salineville, last June.
