COLUMBIANA - Janis Catherine Heath, 73, of Columbiana, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2009.

Born March 25, 1936, in Huntington, W.Va., she was a daughter of the late Amos and Gladys (Mannon) Mathes.

She had worked for Walt's Photography Co. as a driver.

A stepson, Robert Lee Heath, and a stepdaughter, Sandra Kay Dawson, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Heath, at home; a son, Steven Adkins of Salem; a stepdaughter, Kathy L. Heath of East Liverpool; nine grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Tom Mathes of South Point, Ohio.

Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, at the Newell Chapel of Nixon Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2010.

Burial will follow in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens.
