In county Municipal Court on Tuesday, a man accused of assaulting another man inside and outside an East Palestine bar pleaded not guilty to assault.

A pretrial was set for Feb. 2 for Nicholas Moore, 26, East North Avenue, East Palestine, who is accused of punching a man in the face in Down On Main Street Bar & Grill and punching him several times in the face in the business' parking lot, claiming he was acting in self defense after the man struck him in the head.

Jeffrey Fisher, 54, U.S. Route 30, pleaded not guilty to OVI first offense; pretrial Feb. 18.

Daniel Bates, 43, Girard, was fined $250 for driving under suspension.

Travis Clarkson, 22, Butcher Road, Leetonia, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.

Daniel Stonehurst, 19, pleaded not guilty to underage consumption, obstructing official business and resisting arrest; pretrial Feb. 2.

Fined $200 for underage consumption were: Richard Hack, 20, state Route 9, Salem; James Jarvis, 20, Canfield; Jessie Dillon, 19, Fairview Court, Salem; Elizabeth Dorn, 19, Salem; Jessica Boothe, 19, Salem; Mistee Shadle, 19, East 10th Street, Salem; Brittany Smith, 19, East State Street, Salem; Thomas Scarry, 19, Hoopes Road, Salem; Ethan Wutrick, 19, Speidel Road, East Rochester; Keaton May, 18, state Route 9, Hanoverton; Hope Coffee, 18, Coffee School Road, Salem, and Lydia Larson, 18, Plymouth Place, Salem.

Darrell Highley, 31, Morton Street, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for assault, amended from domestic violence.

Eugene Beaver, 45, Carbon Hill Road, East Palestine, was fined $150 for criminal damaging. Beaver broke the window on a live-in companion's vehicle while intoxicated.

Brad Heaton, 39, West Chestnut Street, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct.

Rebecca Lucas, 40, Y&O Road, East Liverpool, was fined $150 for speeding.

Russell Johnson II, 18, Hubbard, was fined $45 for speeding.

Dave McQuiston, Metz Road, Columbiana, was fined $75 for confinement/restraint of dog.

Peter Backer, 43, Clinton, was fined $50 for unsafe vehicle, amended from a stop sign violation.

Jason Mackall, 35, state Route 46, New Waterford, was fined $50 for a miscellaneous wildlife violation. Mackall hunted deer with a shotgun capable of holding more than three shells.

Benjamin Steiner, 19, Heck Road, East Palestine, was fined $30 for improper backing.

William Campf, 55, High Street, Washingtonville, pleaded not guilty to marked lanes; pretrial Jan. 12.

Robert Cole, 44, Cleveland, and Aaron Hawkins, 28, Sebring, each pleaded not guilty to business hours constricted; pretrials Feb. 8. Both men are accused of soliciting after hours in Salem for Just Energy.
