EAST LIVERPOOL - Susan D. Anthony, formerly of Boring Lane, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at the Crossroads at Beaver Creek. She was 86.
Born in Fowler, Colo., on July 19, 1923, she was the daughter of the late William D. and Ruth Brannan Brooks.
A retired clerk at the former Lanes Drug Store, she was a member of the auxiliary of the John Covert Chapter 47 of the Disabled American Veterans. She attended the Northside Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald D. "Jerry" Anthony, whom she married on Sept. 22, 1945; and her brother, Andrew Brooks.
Surviving her is her son, Joe Anthony, and his wife, Glenda, of East Liverpool.
Three grandchildren survive, Marcie Thompson, and her husband Jeremy, of Mulvane, Kan., Pamela Price of East Liverpool, and William Anthony, and his wife Erin, of East Liverpool. There are three great-grandchildren, Maeghan and Kaitlin Thompson, and Zachary Price.
In addition, there are two sisters, Priscilla Wolford of Tacoma, Wash., and Ruth Caswell of Fordland, Mo.
Friends may call at the Dawson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Larry Rose of Northside Community Church officiating.
Burial will take place at Calcutta United Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
