Columbiana County Sheriff for 12-27

POSTED: December 27, 2009

A woman who lives on state Route 7, New Waterford, called for a deputy at 11:40 a.m. Monday because her 9-year-old daughter was acting unruly and struck her with a thrown bottle of lotion. The deputy spoke with the child, and the mother declined to press charges.

Tim Cioffe, Salmar Drive, Salem, called for a deputy at 12:15 a.m. Thursday after his wife reportedly slapped him while they were arguing. Cioffe's wife left prior to the deputy's arrival, and he declined to press charges.

Melissa Baker, Lower Elkton Road, Leetonia, reported Wednesday being threatened by someone she knows.

Valerie Dennison, McCracken Road, Salem, called for a deputy at 7:32 a.m. Tuesday after getting into an argument with her brother's girlfriend, who reportedly threatened her. Dennison declined to press charges, however.

Michelle Davis, Beacon Light Road, Lisbon, called for a deputy at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday after getting into an argument with her husband, who responded by turning off the power to the house. Davis said when she went to turn the breaker back on, he reportedly grabbed her by the throat. Davis declined to press charges, however, and her husband was given a ride to another residence for the night.
