Columbiana County Municipal Court for 12-23
LISBON - In County Municipal Court on Tuesday, Brian Wood Jr., 30, 411 Aten Ave., Wellsville, was bound over to the grand jury after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of aggravated burglary and kidnapping.
According to court documents, Wood is accused of going to a home at 20625 Malone Road, Unit B, in Washington Township. There documents state Wood began beating David Brown and stole his medication from his pocket. Along with another man, allegedly Patrick Griffith, Wood is then accused of dragging Brown from the home, forcing him into the vehicle and driving away from the home before releasing him and threatening to kill him by shooting him in the head.
Bond for Wood remains at $250,000 cash/surety after Judge Carol Robb refused to change it to the $200,000 requested by Wood's attorney, Sherri Liebschner. She had argued that Wood wished the bond lowered to be in accordance with Griffith's bond. He is set to appear on Monday.
Wood was agitated by the denial of the request and also had to be reminded by Robb during the hearing to pay attention to what was happening in the courtroom and not a woman who was seated behind him. He asked the woman on more than one occasion to send pictures.
He also broke into anger when his photograph was taken following the hearing, using foul language. After learning the photograph was taken by the media, Woods apologized for the outburst.
