Columbiana County Sheriff for 12-15
- Doris Ferro, state Route 39, Wellsville, reported several items, including Christmas decorations, crafts and antiques, were taken from a barn in which she once had a business which is now closed. She said this has happened before and was reported.
- Nathan Carpenter, Logtown Road, Lisbon, reported pulling into his residence and seeing several men running away. He tried to apprehend them without success. Nothing appeared to be missing, according to reports.
- Robert Brandon, Ellwood City, Pa., reported going to a residence on Quay Road in Negley to retrieve his vehicle, which his son had taken without permission, and he found it heavily damaged. Both back windows and taillights were broken out and the ignition was torn apart, according to reports. Deputies reported his son said he had left the car and someone must have done the damage overnight. The home's resident said there had been a party, and several people may have done the damage.
- Deputies were dispatched to the home of Jason Crawford, state Route 154, Negley, for a possible domestic dispute and were advised by Crawford that he and his live-in girlfriend, Ginger Pitts, were in an argument when she struck him in the face with a plastic plate. Pitts told deputies Crawford had begun throwing things around the house. Both signed a refusal to prosecute.
- No charges were filed after deputies responded to a possible domestic dispute at the home of Benjamin Phillips Sr., state Route 172, Lisbon, where Phillips reportedly said he had picked up his son and an argument ensued. His son struck him and he struck back, Phillips reported. His son corroborated his account, and both refused to prosecute. Deputies reported both were intoxicated.
- A cashier at Valero, state Route 45, Lisbon, reported a person driving a white extended cab pickup truck drove off without paying for $24.35 in diesel fuel.
