EAST LIVERPOOL - Pearl L. McIntosh 89, of Walker Road, in the Glenmoor area of East Liverpool, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at home, following a brief illness.

She was born in East Liverpool on Nov. 21, 1920, and was the daughter of the late John and Mabel (Turner) Kried.

Living her entire life in the area, Mrs. McIntosh was a wife, mother and grandmother. She graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1939, belonged to the Lady Elks Lodge No. 258, Eastern Star Lodge No. 381 in East Palestine, was a member of the Old Guard, the Glenmoor Girls and Glenmoor United Presbyterian Church.

Her husband, Robert McIntosh, died May 27, 1991.

She is survived by a son, David R. McIntosh and his wife, Janis of Glenmoor; a daughter, Darlene Porter and her husband, John of Wellsville; and a brother, David Kried of Florida; five grandchildren, Robert "Bob" Rufener of Glenmoor, Tammy Rufener Palmer of Calcutta, John McIntosh of Oklahoma, Donald McIntosh of Virginia and Scott McIntosh of Texas; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild

Services will be held at the Calcutta Chapel of the Martin MacLean Altmeyer Funeral Homes on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Vel Vais of the church officiating.

Burial will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home in Calcutta on Friday, Dec. 11, 2009, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Glenmoor United Presbyterian Church.
