Common Pleas for 12-10
A 29-year-old Lisbon man faces possible prison time after pleading guilty to having consensual sex with an underage girl.
Timothy B. Moore, of North Park Avenue, pleaded guilty last week in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to two counts of engaging in sex with a minor and one count of corrupting a minor with drugs. A third charge of engaging in sex with a minor was dropped as part of a plea deal reached with the county prosecutor's office.
Moore is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 8.
According to court records, Moore carried on an affair with the girl, who is now 17, between June 2007 and June 2008. He also admitted providing her with marijuana between June 2007 and December 2008.
n In other court action, the prosecutor's office dropped felonious assault charges filed against Leonard B. Cousin, 58, Henry Avenue, East Liverpool, who was accused of trying to stab Shawn Peterson with a Phillips screwdriver in East Liverpool on April 26.
Toby R. Gray, 27, Schneider Road, Hanoverton, is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 8 after pleading guilty to misdemeanor permitting drug abuse. Gray pleaded guilty to the charge by way of prosecutor's information, which means he was never formally indicted.
