ROGERS - A medical helicopter transported a woman to a hospital in Pittsburgh following a two-vehicle traffic crash around 3 p.m. just south of the village.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was unable to provide the woman's name or address Thursday evening.
According to Highway Patrol Sgt. Dave Zatvarnicky, the woman was driving a 2000 Ford Focus north on Sprucevale Road and attempted to turn left onto state Route 7 after apparently failing to stop at a stop sign. While making the turn, she pulled into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by Charles Pickens, 70, Rogers, which struck her vehicle.
The woman was transported to East Liverpool City Hospital and then sent by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Both Pickens and his wife Francis were transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth Health Center, Youngstown, with non-life-threatening injuries.
Zatvarnicky said the woman was at fault in the collision and charges were pending Thursday evening. The Highway Patrol does not believe alcohol was a factor in the incident.
