Alma G. Hancock, 59

CHESTER - Alma G. Hancock, 59, died early Tuesday morning, Dec. 1, 2009, at the Calcutta Health Care Center.

She was born on July 10, 1950, in Chester, daughter of the late Laco and Eunice Barron Swiger.

In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by two sisters, Terry Swiger and Sandra Barron; two brothers, Daniel and John Swiger Sr.; and a grandson, Cody Alan Antonia.

Alma was a homemaker and is survived at home by her husband, Carson B. Hancock Sr.; one son, Carson Hancock Jr., also of Chester; one daughter, Francheska (Eric) Ford, of New Cumberland; three brothers, Larry (Sue) Barron, David (Lottie) Barron and Donald (Margrate) Heath; and two sisters, Lorinda (Berry) Smith and Lucinda (Dale) Newlun. Grandchildren Katrina Vogus, Eric Ford and Elizabeth, Brandon and Carson Hancock, as well as great-grandson Ronnie Vogus, also survive.

Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery.

No services are planned and the Arner Funeral Chapel was entrusted with her care.
