Highway Patrol for 11-29

Casey Boykin, 26, 11719 W. Middletown Road, Salem, was eastbound on U.S. Route 62 in Butler Township at 11:30 p.m. Nov. 21 when she struck and killed a deer crossing the road.

Tammy S. Milat, 49, 32182 Winona Road, Hanoverton, was westbound on Center Road in Knox Township at 7:10 a.m. Nov. 20 when she went off the right side of the roadway, lost control, came back across the road, striking the left ditch and overturned landing upside down. Milat told the trooper another vehicle was left of center. She was transported to Salem Community Hospital by her boyfriend with minor injuries. No citation was issued.

Erick Hollenbeck, 39, Beach City, was stopped southbound on state Route 172 at the stop sign near U.S. Route 30 in Center Township at 8:40 p.m. Nov. 20 when Christopher Short, 22, Massillon, lost control and struck the front of Hollenbeck's vehicle followed by a sign. Short was cited with driving without reasonable control and was tested for alcohol use, which came back without any detected. Both Hollenbeck and Short, along with their passengers, Timothy Harper, 38, Beach City, in Hollenbeck's vehicle and Stacie Klingaman, 21, Canton, and Micheal Sedaker, 21, Massillon, in Short's vehicle were transported to Salem Community Hospital with injuries. Sedaker was later flown to Akron City Hospital, and Klingaman was flown to St. Elizabeth's Hospital and Harper flown to Mercy Medical Center.

Jacob Lunders, 17, 15795 Annesley Road, East Liverpool, was southbound on state Route 7 in Madison Township when he lost control at 6:45 p.m. Nov. 20 and struck three trees. Lunders was flown to St. Elizabeth's Hospital with serious injuries.

Michael Lebo, 42, 26925 U.S. Route 62, Beloit, was eastbound on Georgetown Road in Knox Township at 2:25 p.m. Thursday when a southbound vehicle driven by Stephanie Bryan, 30, 9066 Mellon Road, Kensington, did not yield at the stop sign on 12th Street causing her to strike Lebo's vehicle. Lebo's passenger, Heidi Lebo, 39, 26925 U.S. Route 62, Beloit, had minor injuries and was transported to Alliance Hospital by her husband. Bryan was cited with failure to yield the right of way.

David Wadsworth, 29, 11422 Canal St., Hanoverton, told troopers at 8:08 p.m. Nov. 14 he stopped eastbound on Gavers Road in Hanover Township because a vehicle had come out of a driveway and blocked the road. The other driver then drove westbound toward him and struck him head-on. He claimed the other truck then backed up and started toward him again so he backed up and went home. After investigating the crash, troopers were not able to determine the other vehicle nor the driver of the other vehicle.
