Donald L. Ward

NEW CUMBERLAND - Donald L. Ward, 84, of New Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009.

He was born Nov. 28, 1924 in Chester, W.Va., a son of the late Roby and Ina Daniels Ward.

He graduated from Chester High School; a retired Roller from Crucible Steel and he was an avid Indian Artifact Collector.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ruby Dalton, Thelma Burns, Grace Dixon, Roy Ward and Frank Ward.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Ward at home; fours daughters, Diana Ward and Susan Ward both of East Liverpool and Janice Newlun and husband, James and Peggy Ward all of New Cumberland; a son, John Ward of New Cumberland; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and two great- great-grandchildren.

The Newell Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home handled private funeral arrangements.
