HIGHWAY PATROL FOR 11-26
Pamela Sherwood, 49, North Manchester, Ind., was cited for OVI, driving under suspension and reasonable control at 4 a.m. Saturday on state Route 172 in Hanover Township after she failed to negotiate a curve and her eastbound vehicle went off the left edge of the roadway and struck a tree. She was transported to St. Elizabeth Health Center with serious injuries.
Emily Mapes, 16, Ridgeleigh Drive, Minerva, was cited for reasonable control at 11:01 p.m. Saturday on U.S. Route 30 in West Township after she swerved to avoid a raccoon in the roadway and her eastbound vehicle went off the left edge of the roadway and struck a house at 22318 U.S. Route 30. A passenger in Mapes' vehicle, Molly Haines, 16, Sandy Springs Road, Minerva, was transported to Aultman Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Ralee Grove, 53, Damascus, was cited for assured clear distance ahead at 3:45 p.m. Monday on U.S. Route 62 in Knox Township after her westbound vehicle struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Gary Moore, 23, Alliance, and pushed Moore's vehicle into the rear of a vehicle driven by Sarah Stratton, 22, Sebring, who was waiting for traffic to clear to turn left onto Ellett Road. Moore was transported at Alliance Community Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
James Marino, 30, Grant Street, Salem, was cited for assured clear distance ahead at 3:38 a.m. Saturday on state Route 14 in Perry Township after he pulled his westbound vehicle forward after a traffic light turned green and his vehicle struck the rear of a Salem police cruiser driven by Officer Scott Shoaff.
Lori Oliver, 26, state Route 45, Lisbon, was cited for reasonable control at 11:26 p.m. Friday on state Route 45 in Elkrun Township after her northbound vehicle went off the right edge of the roadway and struck a small tree.
