Beth Rance, Davner Road, Elkton, reported at 7:17 p.m. Sunday someone had blown up her mail box by dousing it with gasoline and putting two aerosol cans inside before igniting it. Just prior to the explosion, a neighbor saw a motor vehicle pull in the driveway without its lights on. Rance said her daughter has been having problems with a classmate who threatened to assault her and vandalize their home.

Two guards at the county jail were scratched in the face on Thursday evening while booking Tara Radcliff, who had been arrested earlier in the day. Radcliff, 26, of New Waterford, was reportedly uncooperative when a guard placed his hand on her back and began moving her toward a cell. Radcliff reportedly turned on the guards, scratching them in face and drawing blood, and then she tried to bite them. The guards had to use pressure point contact to get Radcliff handcuffed and into the cell.

Emily Ammon, state Route 39, Wellsville, reported seeing a suspicious vehicle at 10:21 p.m. Sunday, but the deputy was unable to locate the vehicle.

A Pepsi machine outside the Ace Hardware store on Crestview Road, Fairfield Township, was found broken into on Sunday and the money was missing.

The security camera at Carney's Gas Station, state Route 518, West Point, showed a man wearing a ski mask and gloves cutting the camera wiring Sunday night. Nothing appeared to be missing.

The office at JDS Lanscaping, state Route 14, New Waterford, was reported broken into over the weekend and the safe stolen. The safe was later found in a ditch on Beeson Mill Road with the lock broken and most of the contents missing.

A Rochester Road, East Rochester, man reported at 3:57 p.m. Saturday that he had been in a verbal argument with his estranged wife over money and marital property, and she took a swing at him but did not hit him.

A Green Street, Beloit, woman reported at 1:40 p.m. Saturday that she was moving out of her marital home and her husband became upset, resulting in an argument. He left with his father before deputies arrived, and the father said he would keep the man away while other family members removed the woman's belongings from the house.

Carissa Jackson, Bell Road, Lisbon, reported at 10:44 a.m. Thursday that Internet companies had changed her phone number several times without her consent. A deputy contacted the companies and found another woman had authorized the changes. The companies credited Jackson for the charges, and a deputy advised her to change her phone number.

He said the landlord had told him he could receive a refund of all but $50, which was for a processing fee, but when he went to collect the $300, the landlord would not give it to him. A deputy told Meadows this is a civil matter and he would need to contact an attorney.
