Columbiana County Municipal for 11-25

In county Municipal Court on Tuesday Pamela Sherwood, 49, North Manchester, Ind., pleaded no contest to OVI, driving under suspension, failure to control, drug paraphernalia and drug possession. She was fined $1,175, had her license suspended for six months and sentenced her to 30 days jail.

Lorena Cope, 44, 142 N. Main St., Columbiana, pleaded no contest to driving under FRA suspension and was fined $100.

Chad Graft, 30, 270 N. Madison, Salem, pleaded no contest to failure to reinstate his license and was fined $250.

Michelle Davison, 214 Green St., Lisbon, pleaded no contest to four counts of passing bad checks. She was fined $200, ordered to perform 50 hours of community service, sentenced to 1 day jail and is to make restitution to Salem Sparkle for $415.

Bruce Riehl, 46, 4709 Fairfield School Road, Leetonia, pleaded no contest to unsafe vehicle amended from a stop sign violation and was fined $100.

A Dec. 29 pretrial was set for Mario Jacome, 43, 201 Main St., Leetonia, charged with underage consumption.

A Jan. 5 pretrial was set for Debbie Smith, 32, 14260 South Main St., Beloit, who pleaded not guilty to charges of failing to reinstate her license and speeding.

A Jan. 7 pretrial was set for Carlos Palomina Ortega, 19, 256 Mechanic Ave., Alliance, who pleaded not guilty to failure to control and hit skip/leave scene.

A Jan. 14 pretrial was set for William E. Show, 29, 18210 Oakgrove Road, Salineville, charged with failure to control and assured clear distance along with two counts each of OVI second offense, driving under OVI suspension and hit skip/leave scene. According to court documents Show was involved in two separate accidents on Nov. 17. The first at 1:35 p.m. happened on state Route 39 in Yellow Creek Township where he is accused of striking another driver from behind and fleeing. At about 1:50 p.m. he reportedly crashed on a straight stretch on state Route 39 in Washington Township, where he struck a culvert and flipped his vehicle next to a house. He was eventually flown to Allegheny General Hospital and was released the next day.

A Jan. 28 pretrial was set for Jill Kasler, 33, Canton, charged with violation of a temporary protection order.

On Monday, Slade Brandle, 50, 294 Rose Ave., Salem, was tried on an assault charge and found guilty. Brandle was sentenced to 49 days jail to run concurrent with another previous convictions of obstructing official business and disorderly conduct.

Andrew Taylor, 27, 11100 state Route 45, Lisbon, was bound over to Common Pleas Court on a domestic violence charge after it was found there was probably cause to believe he dragged a woman at his home off the couch, punched her, pulled out her hair and threatened to kill her. Bond was set at $100,000.
