Police chase leads to Columbiana County
Review Staff ReportsHIGHLANDTOWN - Police from a department in Jefferson County chased a vehicle to the Highlandtown area before ending the pursuit Saturday evening.
A dispatcher for the Saline Township Police Department reported an officer began pursuit of a driver in the 6 p.m. hour on Pioneer Street in Saline Township. The officer followed the vehicle up Steubenville Pike into Columbiana County, ending the pursuit around the intersection with state Route 39.
No other police agencies continued the pursuit following that point.
The dispatcher could not confirm the name of the driver nor the reason police were pursuing him but said the department may pursue charges against the driver.
