Columbiana County Sheriff for 11-21

POSTED: November 21, 2009

Several residents in the northwestern part of the county reported their vehicles entered in recent days and items stolen in some instances: Christine Knepper, Winona Road, Homeworth, reported Tuesday; Chris Abers, Rochester Road, North Georgetown, reported Monday; Cody Keller, Lake Street, Beloit, reported Monday; and Merritta Slickinger, Winona Road, Winona, reported Monday.

Graig Marsh, Buck Road, Knox Township, reported his vehicles were entered and items stolen on Thursday night. At about 7 p.m. Sunday, Marsh was outside when he saw four ATV riders going down the road, two of whom stopped in front of his home until they saw him and fled. The riders were wearing ski masks and had black bags with them, so Marsh began to chase them but lost them when the ATVs turned into a field.

Tammy Richards, Cusick Road, West Point, reported seeing four prowlers at 2:47 a.m. Monday. The prowlers fled into the woods prior to the deputy's arrival.

Lori Herron, Winona Road, Knox Township, reported Monday a bicycle was stolen from her property.

Emily Webber, Bill Smith Road, Wellsville, reported Monday a woman she knows is using her name and Social Security number when being arrested in other counties.
