Rebecca May, 28, Chester, W.Va., was sentenced to one day in the county jail and was fined $250 for theft. May took about $4 to $5 from an Akron Children's Hospital donation jar at the Lisbon Circle K and replaced about $1.
April Barfield, 18, Monroe Street, Salem, was sentenced to one day in the county jail and was fined $250 for theft. Barfield tried to take $89 in merchandise from the Salem Wal-Mart without paying.
Donald Bishop Jr., 32, Warren, was fined $50 for theft. Bishop purchased $58 worth of flowers at the Shaker Woods Festival using a dishonored credit card.
Travis Jeffery, 30, Saltwell Road, was assessed costs only for theft. Jeffery took $10 from a woman's wallet, which was in her bedroom, and used it to buy a Penthouse magazine.
Kerry Franzen, 47, East State Street, Salem, was fined $300 for criminal trespassing and resisting arrest. Franzen knocked on the door of a residence where the homeowner had told her not to be, refused to get into a patrol car, banged against the inside of the patrol car cage and screamed after being told not to do so.
Joshua Weideman, 27, Macedonia, was fined $250 for driving under suspension.
Darryl Stokes, 42, Aetna Street, Salem, was fined $75 for driving without a valid license and a stop sign violation.
Carol Lefever, 37, Slater Road, Salem, was assessed costs only for speeding.
Ray Wood III, Benton Road, Salem, was assessed costs only for speeding.
During action Friday in Columbiana County Municipal Court, Sam O. Patton, 42, waived extradition and will be returned to Branch County, Mich., where he is supposed to be serving a sentence on fraud charges.
In other court action, Jamie L. Miller, 34, state Route 154, Elkton, pleaded innocent to theft charges; pretrial Jan. 7. Miller is accused of stealing a diamond ring set from Heidi Cole, Sprucevale Road, East Liverpool, on June 19.
Michael A. Greaves, 51, Brookdale Avenue, East Palestine, pleaded innocent to OVI and driving under suspension; pretrial Dec. 10. Greaves was cited in East Palestine at 12:56 a.m. Friday.
Rodney J. Davis Jr., 30, of New Castle, Pa., pleaded innocent to OVI and failure to control; pretrial Jan. 5. Davis was cited in Salem Township at 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Bridgette A. Loutzenhiser, 27, Plymouth Place, Salem, pleaded innocent to OVI; pretrial Dec. 28. She was cited in Perry Township at 2:47 a.m. Wednesday.
Michelle Armstrong, 24, state Route 154, Lisbon, and Andy G. Quimby, 27, same address, pleaded innocent to charges of misuse of a credit card; pretrial hearings Dec. 29 and Jan. 5, respectively. They reportedly took the credit card belonging to Marry Morris without her knowledge and used it in Lisbon to withdraw money from her account on Nov. 16.
Steven W. Carman, 43, South Lincoln Avenue, Lisbon, was fined $400 and his license was suspended for six months, except for work, after being found guilty of OVI, first offense. He can avoid a three-day jail sentence by attending OVI classes. Carman was cited in Lisbon at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday.
Kevin S. Kirby, 34, state Route 344, Leetonia, pleaded innocent to OVI and failure to control; pretrial Jan. 17. Kirby was cited in Center Township at 4:28 a.m. Nov. 15.
Randy Vanvorhis, 23, Grant Street, New Waterford, pleaded innocent to OVI, driving without a license, failure to control, possessing drug paraphernalia and menacing a police officer; pretrial Dec. 3. Vanvorhis was cited for OVI in New Waterford on Thursday following a crash. While investigating the crash, police reportedly found a marijuana pipe in his pants pocket. Also, he reportedly threatened the officer.
Tara Radcliff, 26, Grant Street, New Waterford, pleaded innocent to possessing drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct; pretrial Jan. 7. While investigating a crash in New Waterford on Thursday, police went to Radcliff's apartment and saw a marijuana bong and suspected marijuana in plain view. While in custody, Radcliff reportedly made crude and disparaging remarks about the officer and his wife.
Ned Anderson Jr. of Youngstown was found guilty of OVI and sentenced to three days in jail, fined $530 and his license was suspended for three days.
Samantha J. Frampton, 18, Rose Drive, Salem, pleaded innocent to obstructing police business; pretrial Jan. 4. Frampton was cited at 12:40 a.m. Nov. 15 by Salem police who found her and two underage people in a city park. Frampton reportedly identified them as her siblings, which turned out be a lie.
Billie Jo Coffman, Miller Road, Leetonia, pleaded innocent to failure to confine her dog; pretrial Jan. 7.
