Columbiana County Municipal for 11-20
In county Municipal Court on Tuesday, a Salem man was sentenced to 180 days in the county jail for OVI second offense, no motorcycle endorsement and failure to control.
In addition, Adam Mead, 28, Coffee School Road, was fined $975 and had his driver's license suspended for one year on the charges; review hearing Dec. 22.
Jenny Phillips, 37, East Seventh Street, Salem, was sentenced to 40 days in the county jail, was fined $750 and had her driver's license suspended for six months for physical control of a motor vehicle and obstructing official business. Phillips exited a vehicle, quickly walked toward a garage and hid from police behind a door. A charge of no temporary permit against Phillips was dismissed.
William Martin, 37, McKinley Avenue, Salineville, was sentenced to 20 days in the county jail, was fined $1,150 and had his driver's license suspended for one year for OVI first offense, driving under suspension and speeding.
Erica Kaurich, 35, Beloit, pleaded not guilty to OVI first offense and failure to control; pretrial Jan. 5.
Jamie Garrod, 23, Euclid Avenue, Salem, pleaded not guilty to OVI first offense and a tail lights violation; pretrial Jan. 5.
Daniel Shea, 24, Oak Street, Salem, pleaded not guilty to OVI first offense and speeding; pretrial Dec. 14.
Wendy Cutlip, 21, Continental Drive, Salem, was placed into the Successful Treatment and Recovery program after pleading guilty to assault; restitution hearing Dec. 22. Cutlip fought with a girl at Smith Oil, Salem, after which the girl had a bloody nose.
Jerrid Kotsch, 23, Riffle Road, New Waterford, was fined $1,000 for driving under suspension and speeding.
Judson Edling, 23, U.S. Route 62, Salem, was fined $1,000 for driving under supension.
Luann Nortrup, 45, Cider Mill Road, Salem, was fined $175 for driving under suspension and broken windshield.
Joshua Grisez, 22, West Main Street, Washingtonville, pleaded not guilty to driving under suspension; pretrial Jan. 5.
Genaro Torres, 24, West North Avenue, East Palestine, was fined $1,000 for no operator's license.
Ryan Lundington, 37, Youngstown, was sentenced to five days in the county jail and was fined $100 for criminal trespassing. Lundington was in a van in the Salem Wal-Mart parking lot and was not supposed to be at the business.
Michele Ivan, 54, Hilltop Drive, pleaded no contest to theft; sentencing Dec. 14. Ivan attempted to leave the Salem Marc's store without paying for $161 worth of merchandise.
Wayne Hilliard, 21, state Route 172, Hanoverton, pleaded not guilty to hit-skip and failure to reinstate license; pretrial Jan. 21.
Cameron Croxton, 18, Darner Road, pleaded not guilty to wrongful entrustment; pretrial Dec. 21.
Victoria Hardenbrook, 18, state Route 517, Columbiana, pleaded not guilty to failure to reinstate license and failure to display valid sticker; pretrial Jan. 4.
Gordon McPeek, 74, Newport, was fined $100 for speeding in a school zone.
Chad Fowler, 24, Broadview Heights, was fined $30 for assured clear distance ahead.
In county Municipal Court on Thursday, an East Liverpool man was bound over to grand jury on a felony charge of domestic violence.
Scott Haney, 22, North Shadylane Drive, East Liverpool, is accused of shoving the mother of his children into a door, pulling her out of a house, attempting to run her over with a vehicle and, after she threw a brick at the vehicle in self defense, exiting the vehicle with a knife and threatening to kill her.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Monday for Andrew Taylor, 27, state Route 45, Lisbon, on a felony charge of domestic violence. Bond was set at $50,000. Taylor is accused of dragging a woman to a couch by her feet, punching her about the face and body, pulling out her hair and threatening to kill her.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Dec. 22. for Shannon Dietz, 37, Canfield, on a felony charge of receiving stolen property. Dietz is accused of selling a stolen $4,000 wedding band set to Cashland Financial Service on Aug. 11.
Christopher Wiersteiner, 21, Alliance, was sentenced to 20 days in the county jail, was fined $705 and had his driver's license suspended for six months for OVI first offense and speeding; review hearing April 6.
Samuel Allen, 30, Cleveland Heights, pleaded not guilty to OVI first offense and speeding; pretrial Jan. 7.
William Gilbert, 30, Lincoln Avenue, East Palestine, pleaded not guilty to assault and domestic violence; pretrial Dec. 8. Gilbert is accused of kicking and punching a man at East Palestine City Park and grabbing his brother-in-law by the neck at a residence and pushing him into a laundry room.
Tyler McMillen, 21, North State Street, New Waterford, pleaded not guilty to four counts of theft; pretrial Tuesday. McMillan is accused of entering four vehicles in New Waterford and removing several items, including reading glasses, sunglasses, a garage door opener, flashlights, a small notebook and change.
