Raymond Lindsay

EAST PALESTINE - Raymond F. Lindsay, 74, of 5822 state Rt. 170, passed away at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Salem Community Hospital, following a six week illness. Lindsay was born Feb. 8, 1935 in Ellwood City, Pa., a son of the late Theo-dore and Leona M. Frances Lindsay, and had resided in the East Palestine area since 1963, coming from Pennsylvania. He had been employed for forty-five years as a freight driver, the last three with Harry Evans, Jr. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Lindsay is survived by his wife, the former Margie S. Frank; a daughter, Lisa Starkey, Zephyr Hills, Fla.; and two sisters, Jean Price, New Galilee, Pa., and Gladys Robinson, Freedom, Pa.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford.
