EAST LIVERPOOL POLICE FOR 11-17

POSTED: November 17, 2009

On Friday at 8:22 p.m., officers arrested Chelsea E. Bugar, 32, of North Meadowbrook Circle, for domestic violence. Bugar's husband, Brendan D. Bugar, 35, went to the police station and said he and his wife got into an argument, and she reportedly knocked over a plate of food, got his wallet and started removing money. The victim stated he grabbed the wallet from her, and she backed him against the wall with a pair of scissors in her hand. He told officers he tried to get his cell phone, and she cut him with the scissors. Once outside, the suspect tried to run him over with her car, according to the report. Officers went to the home and the suspect said her husband pushed her down on the ground and was holding her down with his hand over her mouth. She told officers she reached up and grabbed the scissors out of a drawer and stabbed him to get him off her. She had scratches on her arms, according to the report. She was arrested for domestic violence and refused to give a statement at the police station.

On Sunday at 9:32 p.m., officers spoke to Kristeena A. Weyand, 22, of 943 McKinnon Ave., who reported an altercation with her husband, Joe. After talking to officers, she advised she did not want her husband arrested and refused to go forward with legal action.

On Sunday at 11:15 p.m., officers cited Allen W. Boyd, 41, of 2212 Ohio Ave., with disturbances enumerated after a report of loud music coming from his residence. When officers arrived, Boyd was on the front porch and appeared intoxicated. He admitted to playing music at a loud volume earlier and was cited, according to the report.

On Monday at 10 a.m., officers arrested Johnny A. Speece, 27, on a charge of shoplifting after a complaint from downtown Giant Eagle employees.

On Monday at 2:52 a.m., officers arrested Michael K. Leek Jr., 22, of Center Street, after finding him hiding in a basement at 868 Lisbon St. The Lisbon Street resident, Jessica Wooten, 21, reported Leek had assaulted her earlier and choked her unconscious, according to the report. She thought he was in the house. Once he was located, Leek allegedly became verbally abusive toward officers and Wooten. He was charged with domestic violence.
