Hancock County announces H1N1 clinic dates
NEW CUMBERLAND - The Hancock County Health Department has scheduled four free H1N1 vaccination clinics to offer more county residents within the targeted priority groups an opportunity to receive the vaccine. Each clinic is scheduled to take place from 5-8 p.m. on the given date.
The schedule is:
Tuesday, Nov. 24 at the Dube Dome, located at 151 Michael Way in Weirton, for individuals from six months to 24 years old. College students who may be home on Thanksgiving break are encouraged to attend this clinic.
Monday, Nov. 30 at the John D. Rockefeller IV Career Center in New Cumberland, for individuals from 10-24 years old. Children nine years old and younger who received the first dose of the vaccine on or before Nov. 9 may attend this clinic to receive the second dose.
Tuesday, Dec. 1 at the career center, for children six months to nine years old who received the first dose of the vaccine on or before Nov. 10; pregnant women; caregivers of infants under six months old; health care workers; individuals six months two 24 years old; individuals aged 25-64 who have one or more health conditions associated with a higher risk of medical complications from influenza.
Wednesday, Dec. 2 at the career center, for children six months to nine years old who received the first dose of the vaccine on or before Nov. 10; pregnant women; caregivers of infants under six months old; health care workers; individuals six months two 24 years old; individuals aged 25-64 who have one or more health conditions associated with a higher risk of medical complications from influenza.
