Judith F. Long Earnest, 66
LISBON - Judith F. Long Earnest, of McDonald Road, Lisbon, passed away at 12:16 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa., following a brief illness. She was 66.
Born in Stone Creek, Ohio, on June 18, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Merle and Geneva Simmers Long. A homemaker, Mrs. Earnest had lived in this area since 1983, having lived in Wadestown, W.Va., for several years.
A member of Campground Community Church, she currently served as secretary of the church board.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Lloyd Earnest, and her son, Harold Earnest.
Survivors include one daughter, Genna Hauenstein Steele and her husband, Richard, of Claysville, Pa.; and four sons, Troy Hauenstein of East Liverpool, Dayna Hauenstein of Canton, Tracy Earnest of Lisbon, and Christopher Earnest of East Liverpool.
Two step-sons, Tony Earnest and Wayne Earnest, also survive, as well as two brothers, Glenn Long and his wife, Bertha, of Canton, and Elmer Long and his wife, Karen of Carrollton. There are also six grandchildren: Jason Steele, Matthew Steele, Nicholas Steele, Jessica Hauenstein, Nichole Earnest and Anthony Earnest; as well as one great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband, son, and parents, Mrs. Earnest was preceded by two brothers, Earl Long and William Long.
Friends may call at the Dawson Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.
Services will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Tom Adkins of the church, and the Rev. Delmar Logston, also of the church, officiating.
Burial will take place at Sancho Cemetery in Hundred, W.Va.
