A woman called at 1:01 p.m. Wednesday to ask if she could get into trouble for returning to her home on Richardson Avenue in Negley. She told deputies her husband threw her out of the house the night before after an argument and wouldn't let her take her car because it's in his name. She said he let her back inside to get shoes and a coat that night and she walked a block to her parents' house. She was told she had a right to be inside her house since it's the marital residence and she also had a right to drive the car. She didn't want to file charges. Deputies contacted the husband and he admitted to breaking some items and throwing her out. He was told he can't throw her out and can't stop her from driving the car.

A woman on state Route 170, East Palestine called at 12:40 p.m. Tuesday to request removal of her daughter because she stole money from her. The daughter said her mother loaned her the money and now wants it paid back and was told they don't have the money right now. They were told it's a civil matter. The daughter agreed to leave and both signed refusals to prosecute.

A spokesman for Dollar General, U.S. Route 62, Alliance, reported at 10:18 a.m. Oct. 31 that she was having an ongoing problem with three females shoplifting from the store. The woman had already fled the scene.

A caller on Hillcrest Road, Wellsville, reported at 8:49 a.m. Oct. 28 that a silver gray car was parked in her neighbor's drive and no one was home. She also called her neighbor, who came to check on the residence. The owner checked the property and everything was okay.

A Wellsville man on Mick Road reported at 2:50 a.m. Friday that his neighbor's dogs had been barking. A deputy checked the residence, but no one was home. The deputy remained in the area about 10 minutes and heard one dog bark twice. He also advised the man he saw a deer by his neighbor's home.

Deputies found no one on the property and all storage units secure after being called at 7:48 p.m. Thursday to Lincoln Storage, state Route 45, Salem, for suspicious persons.

A Leetonia woman on Fairfield School Road reported at 5:25 p.m. Thursday that she found some items missing from her home after returning to the residence and finding the garage door open and entry made through the man door. She found the door knob for the door on the floor.

A Columbiana woman reported at 5:12 p.m. Thursday that she was assaulted by the father of her child at a Columbiana-Lisbon Road property, but she didn't want to file charges.

A Leetonia woman on state Route 344 reported at 4:15 p.m. Thursday that she was assaulted by her stepson on Nov. 2 after she caught him going through her purse shortly after he was asked to leave by her and her husband. He left after slapping her in the face. She didn't want to prosecute.

The principal of Beaver Local High School reported at 2:40 p.m. Thursday that a projector was missing from the school on Aug. 4. He wasn't sure when it was stolen.

Denny Lane, 858 Case Road, Beloit, reported at 7:36 a.m. Friday overnight someone stole one of the golf carts form the Westville Lake Golf Course. A cable holding the carts together was taken apart, and there were tracks in the frost where it had been driven onto the roadway.

Darrel Highley, 1411 Opal Drive, Wellsville, was charged with domestic violence at 1:19 a.m. Saturday after he reportedly became angry about the belongings of a woman living with him being around the trailer, threw a crate of nick knacks down the hallway breaking several. She then broke his cell phone, which led to him trying to choke her, chasing and yelling at her son and spitting in her hair.

Sara Pitts, 36906 state Route 172, Lisbon, reported a prowler at 8:39 p.m. Friday. Deputies checked the area around the house and barn, but did not find anyone.

Jennifer Sell, 5155 state Route 7, New Waterford, reported at 10:49 a.m. Saturday she had received a letter from a financial collection agency about an overdue account with Sun Trust Bank for $453. She does not have an account with that bank and believed it was a matter of identity theft. The bank had her address listed as 7569 Roswell Road, Sandy Springs, Ga.

The newspaper boxes of both the Morning Journal and Alliance Review at the East Rochester Post Office were reported damaged at 8 a.m. Saturday. The money boxes were not opened.

Mary Jane Weaver, 5584 Butler Grange Road, Salem, reported at 12:20 p.m. Saturday sometime overnight someone dumped a can of Hormel chili into the mailboxes belonging to her and her neighbors. The mailboxes were then taped closed.
