Salineville Police Reports for 10-25
Christopher R. Tennant, 21, Wood Street, was charged with disorderly conduct after reportedly punching Ronald Ayers, 24, Hammondsville, in the face at Rukart's Tavern.
George Donaldson, West Main Street, reported property he owns on East Main Street was broken into, with a back door kicked in, although nothing was missing. A few small trees he had planted were dug up and taken from behind the property.
Ron Owens, Black Alley, reported his shrubbery run over, possibly his neighbor, who always turns around in his driveway.
A West Main Street mother reported getting into an argument with her 9-year-old son who left the house and could not be found. He was located at his grandparents' home.
Chris Lewis, East Main Street, reported several unauthorized purchases on his debit card.
Becky Tyson, West Street, reported a man and woman arguing over a kiss from another female in a local bar. The man, Mathew Perrington, was escorted to a friend's house on North Alley. Perrington later reported being assaulted by the friend for bringing the police to his house. Perrington then left for his girlfriend's house, according to reports.
David Barton, East Main Street, called and reported being involved in a fight at Rukart's Tavern. While the officer was en route to the bar, he saw Barton standing on the street. A bartender said there was no problem inside the bar. Matt Leishman, no address listed, came into the bar and an officer asked him to step outside to talk, at which time Leishman said someone kicked his car as he was leaving but said there was no fight at the bar.
David Barton, East Main Street, reported someone in a black vehicle dropped a black cat in the road, and he took it in and fed it. Officers advised him he could keep the cat or let it go, and Barton chose to keep it.
Cody Jones, Mill Street, reported a man came into his home and tried to take his mother's purse from a couch. He and his brother chased the person into the woods behind the house but could not identify him. Their mother reported about $200 missing from the purse. The case remains under investigation.
