Columbiana County Municipal for 10-24
In county Municipal Court on Thursday, a preliminary hearing was scheduled for a North Jackson man on a charge of felonious assault.
Vince Taylor Jr., 36, will appear in court Tuesday on the charge. Bond was set at $50,000. Taylor is accused of using a three-foot metal club to strike the driver's side door of a vehicle on state Route 11, breaking the window, damaging the door frame and narrowly missing a man in the vehicle.
Robert White, 20, New Springfield, pleaded not guilty to OVI second offense, driving under suspension and failure to control; pretrial Dec. 10.
Pamela Owsowitz, 56, North Benton, pleaded not guilty to OVI first offense and lighted lights required; pretrial Dec. 1.
Shawn Chappell, 37, Bethel Drive, Salem, was sentenced to 15 days in the county jail and was fined $250 for driving under suspension.
Victor Cruz, 20, Adams Road, Rogers, was fined $200 for theft. Cruz placed a baseball cap on his head at the Salem Walmart and attempted to leave the store without paying for it.
Dylan Meek, 18, North Vine Street, Salem, was fined $100 for theft. Meek stole a bicycle.
Heather Bishop, 31, Mineral Ridge, pleaded not guilty to four counts of theft; pretrial Dec. 15. Bishop is accused of using a dishonored credit card to make purchases from four vendors at the Shaker Woods Festival.
Mildred Pittman, 46, Lexington Avenue, Salem, pleaded not guilty to theft; pretrial Nov. 2. Pittman is accused of placing DVDs and a wallet in her purse at the Salem Giant Eagle and attempting to leave the store without paying for the items.
David Mackall, 39, Peace Valley Road, Rogers, pleaded not guilty to driving in violation of a driving restriction; pretrial Dec. 15.
Nicholas Conway, 29, Waterford Road, East Palestine, was fined $200 for driving without a valid license, amended from driving in violation of a driving restriction. A charge of a seat belt violation against Conway was dismissed.
