EAST LIVERPOOL - Distribution for Angel Food will be from 8:30-10 a.m. today at the Church of God, 926 W. 8th St. For more information contact Director Bob Griffin at 330-385-3513 or email www.angelfoodministries.com.

The Outreach Care Minsitry will be serving from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Friday a free meal. This is held at the Church of God.

EAST LIVERPOOL - The East Liverpool Area Alumni Band is starting the new season. Practice will take place from 7-8 p.m. on Monday at the East Liverpool Alumni Clocktower. Practices are usually the first and third Mondays of each month. All area alumni are invited to join. We currently have members representing the three local states.

EAST LIVERPOOL - The R.O.L.O. Club (Remembering Our Loved Ones) will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Dawson Family Center. Guest speaker will share about living in Europe for a time. For questions call Judy 330-385-8896.

EAST LIVERPOOL - The Glenmoor Girls will meet for lunch at noon Wednesday at Hoge's Restaurant. Each member is asked to bring three yards of ribbon to make Christmas bows. All alumni of Glenmoor Elementary School is invited.

EAST LIVERPOOL - A spaghetti dinner will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday at the Pleasant Heights United Brethren in Christ Church. The benefit dinner is being held for Bryan Veglia and family. He recently lost his wife (Tina Veglia) to brain cancer and has three children to care for and is in need of a home to live in. The cost is adults $7 and children 10 and under $4 and carry out dinners are available. For more information call Bernard Veglia at 330-853-5459 or Doris Davis at 330-386-6011.

n LISBON - Help Hotline Crisis Center's support group of the Survivors of Suicide, in Columbiana County, will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Columbiana County Counseling Center, on state Route 154. It is a support group for families who have lost a loved one to suicide. For more information call Help Hotline Crisis Center, Inc., at 330-424-7767.

CHESTER - The VFW Post 6450 Ladies and Mens Auxilary is announcing the second annual Buddy Poppy Pumpkin Decorating Contest. The pumpkins can be picked up from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24 at the Chester Post 6450 VFW in the parking lot. The judging will be at noon on Saturday, Oct. 31. There will be a $5 donation per pumpkin and 10 buddy poppies per pumpkin. Prizes will be awarded for creativity and originality. 1st place will receive $60, second place $25, and third place $15. Ages for the contest are 4-12. This is a fun way to introduce the youngsters and their families to "The Buddy Poppy Program" that supports the veterans throughout the year.
