CALCUTTA - St. Clair Travel & Tourism Bureau will be hosting the first ever Fall Festival at Calcutta Community Park Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. The festival is the first event to take place at the park since its dedication last month.
Travel and Tourism Bureau Executive Director Lori Kline said the bureau hopes to make the festival an annual event at the park.
Festivities scheduled for Sunday include entertainment provided by children's clowns Sunshyne and Professor Thymble from Chester. Sunshyne and Professor Thymble will be offering face painting and balloon art to children between noon and 2 p.m. in the gazebo. Kline said the clowns are "very good," and have generated positive feedback from children in past appearances in the area.
Craft vendors will include Seasons of the Heart Second Generation, Kozy Kraft Kreations and the Picket Fence. Local businesses such as Randy's Raisings, Lewis' Country Gardens and the Windy Hill Tree Farm will be setting up displays in the park for the festivities.
Baked goods, Apple Cider and hot dogs will be available. Parking is also available.
Calcutta Community Park is located on the corner of Calcutta-Smith Ferry and Sprucevale roads. For more information contact Lori Kline at 330-386-6060. Kline said other events will be scheduled for the park in the future, including a holiday lights display shortly after Thanksgiving.
