EAST LIVERPOOL - The Church Women United Executive Board will meet at 1 p.m. today at the Grace Presbyterian Church. Plans for the Nov. 6 World Community Day celebration will be finalized.

EAST LIVERPOOL - The East Liverpool High School Band is sponsoring a pasta dinner from 47 p.m. today at the East Liverpool Motor Lodge. Price is $7 and you can dine in or carry out.

EAST LIVERPOOL - The community prayer breakfast will be at 7 a.m. Tuesday at the L and B Donut shop.

EAST LIVERPOOL - Women from the ELHS Class of '55 will gather for lunch at Hoges Restaurant at noon on Tuesday. All women from the class are invited and encouraged to attend.

EAST LIVERPOOL - The next scheduled meeting of the Men's Discussion Group will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Casa de Emmanuel Restaurant, located at 460 Mulberry St., in the East End. Open discussion and progress reports are on the agenda. You are encouraged to bring a potential member as your guest.

Refreshments will be served.

All men are welcome to join our group and/or efforts.

WELLSVILLE - The Wellsville Carnegie Public Library will have two sessions of story hour every Tuesday from Oct. 6 through Dec. 8.

The preschool session will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for children ages 3 to 5. The after school session will run from 4-5 p.m. for children ages 5 and up.

Registration is required due to the limited space. You may register by phone or in person.

WELLSVILLE - The Wellsville Arts Club will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the Fellowship Hall of the Christian Church on Main Street. A musical program will be presented by Jay Dee Pamer and Pete. The telephone and membership committee will be the hostesses for the refreshments.

CALCUTTA - Long's Run Presbyterian Church will be holding their annual basement sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and from 9 a.m to noon Friday. There will also be a homemade soup and baked goods sale. The soup choices are bean, chicken noodle and vegetable.

EAST LIVERPOOL - The East Liverpool Aglow International will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the East Liverpool Country Club, 2485 Parkway, for a luncheon. Kathy Witsberger will be the speaker. For reservations or cancellations call 330-385-1974.

EAST LIVERPOOL - Health Fair to be held by Ohio Valley Home Care from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday at 106 E. Fifth St. Flu shots, blood pressure checks, smoking cessation, multiphasic blood testing (must pre-register and fasting required) medical supplies and much more. Come register for free door prizes. LISBON - The Medication Assistance Program will be in Lisbon from 9:30 a.m. - noon Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church. Bring all prescription bottles. Help is available for those with Medicare Part D problems. For more information call 330-424-7877.

EAST LIVERPOOL - The Tri-State Promoters will have a special meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Point of Light, East End, to discuss plans for the Thanksgiving Dinner. Volunteers, cooks, and delivery persons, etc., are needed for preparing the meal. For more information call 330-385-3834.

WELLSVILLE - The Lamplighters are hosting Riverside Preschool's fundraiser of a spaghetti dinner from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Yellow Creek Presbyterian Church, 17365 state Route 45. Dinner consists of spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread and dessert. The cost is $6 per person. Carry outs are available.
