COLUMBIANA COUNTY SHERIFF FOR 10-04

POSTED: October 4, 2009

Sharon and Chuck Tarnovich, state Route 7, New Waterford, reported Wednesday their home was broken into and their flat-screen TV was stolen.

A vacant home at Guilford Highlands, Depot Road, Guilford Lake, was found broken into at 9 p.m. Wednesday, but nothing appeared to be missing.

A man reportedly threatening to harm himself was stopped by deputies in his vehicle at the intersection of Clarkson and Sprucevale roads in Middleton Township about noon Wednesday. After finding two knives in the vehicle, the deputies decided to charge the man with disorderly conduct for his own protection.

A purse belonging to Erma L. Hudgens, South 12th Street, Beloit, was found Tuesday on Westville Lake Road. Hudgens said her purse was stolen from her car the day before while she was at her doctor's office in Damascus. She said $20 was missing from her purse.

A report was received of a man sleeping in a motor vehicle in the parking lot of Frederick Auto Sales, state Route 45, Madison Township, at 10:48 a.m. Sept. 25. The man, Alexander Tsutskinridze, 36, of Mayfield Heights, said he was on his way home from Mountaineer Race Track & Gaming Resort when he pulled over to take a nap.

A deputy responded to a reported domestic dispute at a home on Lowmiller Road, East Rochester, at 10:10 p.m. Thursday, where Terrance Reed said his ex-wife showed up to drop off some clothes but refused to leave when asked. Reed said he grabbed her by the arm and escorted her from the property, but she called her mother and told her she had been assaulted. His ex-wife was gone by the time the deputy arrived.
