EAST LIVERPOOL - At 7 p.m. today in the Slak Shak, the Kent State University East Liverpool Campus, Biology Department will present "All about flu." The program will begin with a short overview of flu basics by Dr. Qunxing Ding. This will be followed by a panel including Dr. Ding, Dr. Augusto Soriano, and Dr. Roxanne Burns who will address audience questions. If media coverage of "swine" flu has left you confused or frightened, join us for the straight story. The Slak Shak is on the lowest level of the Main Building. Please enter through the 4th St. or rear doors.

EAST LIVERPOOL - Jubilee, the Children's Program at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 110 Maine Blvd., will meet on Thursday. Dinner is at 5:30 p.m., followed by the story, crafts and games. All area children ages 4 to 14 are welcome. There is no cost. No pre- registration and no church affiliation is required.

WELLSVILLE - The Covenant Presbyterian Church will hold its monthly spaghetti dinner from 4-7 p.m. Thursday. The menu will consist of spaghetti and meat balls or sausage; lasagna or rigatoni; salad, bread, desert and drink. The price is $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12, and children ages 4 and under eat free. Carry-outs are available. If you have any questions, call the church at 330-532-4670.

RICHMOND - The 7th Annual Down syndrome Buddy Walk, hosted by the Ohio Valley Down syndrome Support Group, will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the College Campus Park in Richmond, Ohio. Registration will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pre-registration is available. Registration fee is $10 per household, which includes T-shirts on a first come basis. This is a one-mile walk to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with down syndrome. There will also be games, inflatable bouncer for kids, DJ, pumpkin painting, prize drawings, raffles, refreshments and more. For more information, call 740-275-6728 or visit www.buddywalk.org.

GEORGETOWN, Pa. - Animal care and Welfare presents a rabies clinic from 9-11 a.m. and microchip clinic/nail cuts and adoption fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. For directions, call 724-573-4665 or go to www.pawshereawhile.com. There will be raffles, refreshments, TNR demonstration, and dogs and cats for adoption.

WELLSVILLE - October is National Clergy Month and to celebrate, Wellsville is holding a Community Appreciate Your Clergy Gathering from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the New Life Worship Center, 1329 Main St. Food and refreshments will be provided. It is a non-denominational get together and all are welcome.
