Man arrested for fatal route 30 accident

NEW CUMBERLAND - A man was arrested Thursday during Hancock County's Grand Jury Docket Day for his involvement in a fatal accident in May on U.S. Route 30.

Glenn Robert Krugle III, 25, of Poplar Drive in Monaca, Pa., was indicted last week by the grand jury on one count each of DUI causing death, DUI causing bodily injury, and DUI second offense.

Krugle and passenger Anita Bentz, also of Monaca, Pa., were injured in the accident that took place at approximately 8:25 p.m. on Memorial Day.

Michael J. Tangora of Hookstown, Pa., who had been traveling in the second vehicle involved, was pronounced dead at East Liverpool City Hospital following transportation from the accident.

According to Hancock County Sheriff Mike White, Krugle entered a plea of not guilty, and is being held in Northern Regional Jail. Bond is set at $35,000.
