UNIONTOWN, Ohio William H. Shenton, 88, of Meadow Lane Avenue N.W., died at 9:55 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, following a brief illness.
Born March 10, 1921, in Kittan-ning, Pa., a son of the late Byron and Ellen Shen-ton, he served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He retired as a dish maker from the former T.S. & T. Pottery, then Anchor Hocking China Co.
Surviving is a son, William Daniel Shenton of Uniontown, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren as well as three great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Shenton was preceded in death by his wife, Georgianna T. Shenton, and two sons, Edward and James Scott Shenton.
A graveside service is planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009 with the Rev. Dave Maly, former pastor of the First United Methodist Church in East Liverpool officiating.
Burial is to be in Moultre Cemetery in Hanoverton, Ohio.
