NEW CUMBERLAND - The Hancock County Health Department has scheduled Food Handlers' Classes for the months of September and October.

The schedule is as follows:

- 1 p.m. on Sept. 15 at the Weirton Senior Center, located at 3425 Main Street in Weirton

- 5 p.m. on Sept. 15 at the New Manchester Fire Hall in New Manchester

- 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Oct. 15 at Swaney Library in New Cumberland

All of the above classes are for volunteers as well as those employed in the food service industry. Classes will be taught by sanitarians from the Hancock County Health Department.

Those who attend the class will be issued a Food Handler Card that is valid in either Hancock or Brooke Counties in W.Va.
