EAST LIVERPOOL - Women from the ELHS Class of '55 will gather for lunch at noon Tuesday at Hoges Restaurant. All women from the class are invited and encouraged to attend.
IRONDALE - The Irondale Fire/Rescue Dept is teaming up with the American Red Cross to have a blood drive from 2-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Irondale village complex located at 91 rural Way (old Irondale elementary school) Irondale. WELLSVILLE - The Columbiana County Red Cross in conjunction with the Alleghenies Blood Region Services will be holding a blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Wellsville First Christian Church Fellowship Hall, 831 Main St., 330-532-1587. This is also a double reds drive. Wendy's of Calcutta will be donating chili and Pizza Hut of Wellsville will be donating pizza. Donors must be at least 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.
CHESTER - Chester High School Class of 1951 will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Connie's Corner Restaurant in Chester. All former classmates, spouses and friends welcome.
LISBON - The Medication Assistance Program will be in Lisbon from 9:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church. Bring all prescription bottles. Help is also available for those with Medicare Part D problems. For more information call 330-424-7877.
EAST LIVERPOOL - The Columbiana County Red Cross will hold the following health and safety classes for the first half of September at the East Liverpool office, Kent State University, Room 8: CPR at 6 p.m. Tuesday and First Aid at 6 p.m. Wednesday; at the Salem office, 230 N. Lincoln Ave., Suite 110: CPR/First Aid recertification at 6 p.m. Sept. 8 and CPR/First Aid at 9 a.m. Sept. 12. Please call the Red Cross office at 330-424-6610 to register and obtain pricing.
EAST LIVERPOOL - Workforce Development, Kent State University East Liverpool has scheduled Certified Quality Engineer, which is a Test Preparation Class. The minimum requirements for admittance include eight or more years of on-the-job experience in one or more areas of the CQE Body of Knowledge. Call 330-382-7545 for additional information.
Part of the eight year experience requirement can be waived with appropriate education and/or employment history if it relates to the body of knowledge and degree level. Each candidate is required to pass a written examination to demonstrate competency.
