Highway Patrol for 8-3

Rodney Edinston, 35, state Route 39, Wellsville, was charged with OVI, driving under suspension, child endangering and lanes of travel at 1:15 a.m. Friday on Fife Coal Road in Yellow Creek Township after his northbound vehicle went left of center and struck a southbound vehicle driven by Steaven Elliot, 34, Bergholz, before going off the left edge of the roadway and striking a ditch. Two boys ages 4 and 3 were in the vehicle with Edinston.

Michael Syppko, 28, Grant Street, Lisbon, was cited for reasonable control at 1:39 a.m. Sunday on state Route 45 in Salem Township after his southbound vehicle went off the right edge of the roadway, struck a ditch and a driveway and overturned. He was transported to Salem Community Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

Nicolette Ferlaino, 17, County Airport Road, East Liverpool, was cited for a right of way violation at 9:40 p.m. Thursday on East Liverpool Road in Madison Township after she backed her vehicle from a private drive, and Hollie Reese, 19, Susan Drive, East Liverpool, swerved her southbound vehicle left of center to avoid Ferlaino's vehicle, after which Ferlaino's vehicle struck Reese's vehicle, which went off the left edge of the roadway.

An unknown driver at 2:10 a.m. July 26 drove a northbound vehicle off the right edge of Failer Road in Unity Township and struck a ditch. The vehicle is registered to Robert Ross Jr., Church Hill Road, Lisbon.
