Geraldine “Gerri” Stake, 66
CHESTER - Geraldine "Gerri" Stake, 66, of Chester, passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009.
She was born Aug. 25, 1942, in Pittsburgh, Pa., a daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth Logue DeGore.
Gerri formerly worked for Wal-Mart and she worked in admissions for the former Waterford Park.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Stake; a sister, Elizabeth Griffith; and a niece, Kimberly McHale.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn Stake of Chester; two grandchildren, Amber Bartlett and Emily Knicely of Chester; a brother, Louis DeGore of Pennsylvania; a niece, Susan McHale King; and three nephews, Dennis Rodgers, James McHale and Keith McHale whom she helped raise.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Newell Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009.
The interment will be held at Locust Hill Cemetery, Chester.
